MENS TEAMS ARE READY FOR WORLD NATIONS CUP 2025
THE MENS SECTION IS VERY WELL SUPPORTED
Following on from successful tournament campaigns in both the men’s +50 & +60 age groups at St George’s Park in 2023 ,where England picked up both trophies, it would be fair to say that the same nation will be the team to beat if anyone else has realistic ambitions to lift the silverware this time round.
The England side at +60 in particular has been imperious and rarely troubled in any game over the last couple of years.
For England at +50 however the gap looks like it has closed up considerably with emerging nations looking to make a name for themselves at this level and old foes growing stronger as recruitment improves with participation levels growing all the time.
We are excited to receive news that nations new to the tournament have been announced and that Hong Kong, Columbia, Portugal, Holland and Argentina amongst others will be joining the more established FIWFA member nations.
Also new to the event is the emergence of a +70 age group and with that the reinforcement of belief in that the game can be played as a competitive sport into our twilight years!!
The men’s section promises to be a fascinating experience for all those lucky enough to be playing and may the best teams win.
