Team Spain Ladies Coordinator Sarah Baker

Sarah began playing walking football in January 2022 with Boca Seniors (mixed team) in Competa. This was the first time she had played football and quickly developed a passion for the sport. In March 2022 she was voted on to the Boca Senior´s Management Committee. She has represented the Boca Senior´s on the Andalucia Walking Football league committee since July 2022 and is currently the league Treasurer.

Sarah was instrumental in starting Competa Chica´s Women´s walking football team in March 22. The aim was to encourage women to participate in the sport irrelevant of any lack of previous playing experience. The objective was simple to have fun. Chica membership has steadily increased over the last two years and many of the Chica´s have now joined the Boca Senior´s mixed team.

In 2023, Sarah organised the first Women´s walking football tournament in Andalucia. This has now become an annual event. Sarah has represented Spain in friendly matches in Spain and international tournaments in Morocco, France, and Thailand.
