
Seven marbellies win with Spain
The Lanzarote Tournament of walking football
Seven Marbellies have been part of the Spanish team that has conquered the Walking Football Lanzarote Tournament. Both the Spanish Master-50 and Master-60 teams have won the Lanzarote and Fuereteventura teams in this competition. This tournament serves as preparation for the World Championship in Alicante.
Marbella continues to export players to national walking football teams, this new sports modality focused on people over 50 who want to continue enjoying football, although minimizing the risks of hitting and injury.
The Spanish team has recently participated in the Walking Football Lanzarote Tournament, a tournament in which the Lcoal teams from Lanzarote and Fuerteventura have also participated.
In the category of over 50 years, the Spanish team had in its ranks the Marbellies Andrés Vallejo, Roberto Carlos Ibarra, Marcelo Maiorana and Francisco del Pino, all players from Malaga.
For their part, in the team of over 60 years there were three other Marbella players: Antonio Sánchez del Marbésula and Víctor Sol and Juan Del Águila del Málaga.
The tournament, which was played in the league format, was very even; but achieving the final victory the two Spanish teams in both categories.
In the tournament of more than 50 years, Marcelo stood out as the top scorer and Vallejo under sticks who managed to zero his goal.
