Team Spain at the Capri Cup
Many thanks to Elena and her team plus the sponsors off course for rolling out the red carpet this weekend in Capri .
Never been looked after so well anywhere in the world of walking football.
Unfortunately the hospitality ended from the first whistle where a youthful Italian squad beat our very game women’s mixed age team that contained 4 +60 players in each of the three matches but Team. Spain remained competitive throughout the event. The matches were played at a fantastic venue with a spectacular mountainous backdrop on the Italian Riviera. Trophies, medals, t shirts and other gifts were bestowed upon us by our generous hosts.
This group of Italian women walking footballers need to be at all the major events in the future as they will add value to any tournament with their ability and enthusiasm.
